The Limitless Wrestling Academy is bustling this morning, as a handful of students can be seen going through the opening drills. Several are working on their rolls while others are running the ropes, all of them working on building their cardio for the ring. As the camera continues to pan around, we see the newest signing to King's Road, already dripping with sweat. Águila simply smiles as he beckons closer, beginning to speak in his native Spanish. To the viewers at home, subtitles begin to appear on the bottom.
Hello there. For those who may not know who I am, or are unfamiliar with my work, I am Águila. The first luchador to graduate from Limitless, the soul of Alianza Campeonato Mexico, the soul of lucha! And now, I can officially say that I have been invited to the Sakiguchi Camp in King's Road.
I was shocked when I found out that I was personally invited to the camp, as I have only competed for a short time. Not even six months into my professional wrestling career and I find myself invited into a prestigious camp. I personally want to thank the Sakiguchi Camp and King's Road for inviting me, and I promise you that I will make you proud once I step inside the ring.
Águila gives a smile as we see two students in the background, beginning to lock up. Wiping his face with a towel, Águila gives a quick glance behind him before turning back to the camera.
Stepping into a gauntlet match may seem like a big task to some. Not knowing when you will enter, having to pace yourself if you want to go the distance, the unpredictability of it... it's a lot. And with this being my first match, I know that there will be many eyes watching me. I know that many within the Sakaguchi camp will be watching to see how their recruits do. Hammerstein in particular is someone that many are keeping an eye on due to his reputation, and I know that many peg him to be the winner. It makes sense if you look at his resumé, holding multiple titles and establishing himself as one of the top names in wrestling at the moment. Hammerstein is a solid pick for a winner, and is a great get for the Sakiguchi team.
But while everyone wants to focus on the threat of Hammerstein, Águila is waiting for the perfect moment to break out. I'm not so bold as to say that I will crush my competition, but I can say with confidence that none can fly as high as I can! There is none that can soar through the air like I can, or outlast like I. Lucha demands an almost insane amount of cardio, and during my training I pushed myself to be faster and last longer than many of my peers. The result is a man who proudly carries the tradition of Lucha while forging ahead, showing the world the strength that only Lucha can provide. We can trace our history and our heritage back numerous years, when luchadors were truly viewed as superheroes for their time. Lucha is a way of life, and I look to prove the strength that lucha gives.
This gauntlet match is challenging, but Águila is not one to back down from a challenge. I will walk into this match, and I will walk out having proved that Lucha is strength. Lucha is pride. Lucha, and the Sakiguchi Camp, will be victorious!
YO SOY ÁGUILA.
