Kawada has never shied away from making his appearances and proclamations public, however, he seems a little more reserved with this weeks comments on his upcoming match. Rather than his usual press-conferences or other media appearances for the several companies he has worked for in his career, today he has chosen to rather have his comments leaked through an exclusive through Kings Road World, the newly established website. He would not be alone for this release as welcoming us to the scene was none other than Akihito Takahashi, a well-respected reporter of the Japanese sports world, was wearing a nice tailored suit, as he normally would. He looked into the camera with a smile as he welcomed each and every one of us to this special Kings Road World exclusive video!
"Hello everyone, and welcome to this Kings Road World exclusive. Tonight, I have been asked to have a sit-down, face-to-face interview with one of the advancing participants in the Return of the Dragon event and a man who has been at the center of much attention in the recent months, a highly-honored name of the sport and a man of, for the want of a better word, an unrivalled sense of justice. My guest at this time is SSW's Everlasting Hero, Masanori Kawada! Kawada-san, thank you for your time."
Masanori is dressed in a very casual affair this week, dawning a white shirt with the Shoot Nation emblem printed across his chest, a small black microphone clip attached to the neck of said shirt. He seems very cheerful, bowing his head to his interviewer as a sign of respect.
"Thank you."
"Perhaps we should start by addressing the elephant in the room; what has brought the legendary All-Might to such a newfound promotion such as Kings Road Puroresu?"
"It's not that hard to tell in all honesty, but I have gotten to that point of my career where people are ready to push aside the older lion for the younger, more hungry generation. Some may consider this a selfish thing to want, but I am not ready to step aside just yet. My best years were behind a mask -- a legacy adopted from my trainer -- not the man that stands here as the symbol of justice. If I am ever forced to step aside for the younger generation, I want to leave a legacy behind me, a point in history where All-Might delivered a justice that made professional wrestling a better place. To do that, I can't simply be confined to one promotion to make such an impact. It needs to be spread around the continent, justice to be held all across the country. Kings Road needed talents in its establishing months, and it presented the opportunity to make the impact I wish to make. That is why I am here."
"With the news of your arrival also came the announcement of your very first match. Your opponent, Marco Street, has already made some remarks towards your upcoming bout. Can you tell us the impression you have of your opponent and to what we can expect in your encounter with him tomorrow night?"
"I am afraid my English is not the most polished. I am not quite sure what "Swag" is. What I can tell from his statements, however, is that Marco Street is a colorful character to say the least. I have been told that he is a little more than what meets the eye, that he s much more dangerous in the ring than what he leads on with his way of thinking, speaking and presenting himself. He is a little bit of an unknown to me, and that doesn't make for an easy match. He is very sure in his abilities to knock me out, kick me harder than I have ever been before, and confidence is a key element to any victory. But I must say that I am very confident in my own abilities to out-last this young lion and, perhaps, set him straight with the seriousness he should bring to a match. Acting a fool at an airport is not a conduct I find to be professional, and I wish for him to take me a little more seriously in future. June 10th, I will make my presence as the symbol of justice known with a victory over this brash rookie. And to Marco Street, if he can understand the language, I will extend to him the exact same statement I give any other opponent, a statement that Kings Road Puroresu will come to understand all too well."
